The main common safety problems of existing building curtain wall are: self explosion of toughened glass, corrosion and falling off of opening window sash hardware, rainwater leakage of external curtain wall (aging of structural glue), stone breaking and falling, deformation of aluminum-plastic plate, loosening of stressed components, blocking of curtain wall drainage system, failure of curtain wall lightning protection system, loosening of hanging basket structure and other problems.
In recent years, there have been a number of curtain wall glass self explosion and falling incidents in existing buildings, especially in high-rise buildings, which have attracted great attention of the State Council and municipal committees. In order to ensure social and public safety and protect people's lives and properties from infringement, it is necessary to carry out regular on-site inspection and inspection of existing curtain walls, and establish a long-term mechanism of curtain wall construction safety management.
