ESD certification is to prove that the enterprise meets the requirements of ANSI / ESD s20.20 and / or IEC 61340-5-1 standard through the certification audit of ESDA and / or IECQ recognized third-party certification agency.
Founded in 1982, ESDA is a volunteer association dedicated to promoting the theory and practice of avoiding electrostatic discharge hazards. Its members come from more than 30 countries.
ANSI / ESD s20.20 is the ESD protection management system standard established by ESDA in combination with military and industrial protection experience on ESDs items. It was first issued in ANSI / ESD s20.20-1999 on August 4, 1999, and experienced the revision of ANSI / ESD S20.20-2007 on February 11, 2007. The current effective version is the revision of ANSI / ESD s20.20-2014 on June 11, 2014. ANSI (American Standards Association) is one of the permanent members of ISO (International Standardization Committee) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), and one of the members of IAF (International Accreditation Forum).
IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), founded in 1906, is the first International Electrotechnical Standardization Organization in the world, focusing on the international standardization work and conformity assessment management in the field of electrical and electronic.
IEC 61340-5-1 is the management system standard of electrostatic protection issued by IEC. It was first published in IEC ts61340-5-1:1998 on December 15, 1998. It has undergone the revision of IEC 61340-5-1:2007 on August 9, 2007. At present, it is the latest IEC 61340-5-1:2016 revised on May 27, 2016.
